The role involves providing counsel on general labor and employment matters, handling employee relations, and managing employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage/hour issues. The ideal candidate will also have experience drafting employment policies, handling employee benefits issues, and will possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Duties:

  • Provide general labor and employment counseling
  • Handle employee relations and employment litigation (discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage/hour issues)
  • Draft and review employment policies and procedures
  • Advise on employee benefits issues
  • Represent clients in employment-related legal matters
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies
  • Maintain professional client relationships
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in labor and employment law
  • NJ Bar license (required); other bar admissions are a plus
  • Experience in employment litigation, counseling, and employee relations
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage cases efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard of professionalism
  • Portable business is a plus (especially for Partner role)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • NJ Bar license (required)
  • Additional state bar admissions (a plus)
