Overview:
- Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is seeking a Mid-Level Financial Services Litigation Associate to join their Consumer Financial Services practice.
- The position is available in either the firm's Chicago or Peoria office, with hybrid work arrangements and the ability to work remotely within Illinois.
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4 years of experience and be admitted to the Illinois bar.

Responsibilities:
- Handle a caseload of commercial litigation matters in Illinois state and federal courts.
- Defend claims under the FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, and state consumer protection laws.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Participate in all aspects of the litigation process, including depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Communicate with clients and provide regular case updates.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on more complex matters.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial litigation practice.
- Knowledge of Illinois state and federal court procedures.
- Experience defending claims under the FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, and state consumer protection laws.
- Admission to the Illinois bar.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Prior experience in financial services litigation is a plus.
