A law firm seeks an experienced Energy Attorney to join its team in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy law, including experience with regulatory compliance, transactions, and advisory work. Duties:
- Advise clients on energy-related regulatory compliance, transactions, and policy matters.
- Assist with structuring and negotiating energy sector contracts, including power purchase agreements and joint venture agreements.
- Provide strategic legal guidance on matters related to renewable energy, energy infrastructure, and utilities.
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to energy laws, policies, and industry trends.
- Represent clients in regulatory proceedings before federal and state agencies.
- Draft and review energy-related agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop solutions to energy-related legal challenges.
Requirements:
- Experience in energy law, including regulatory compliance, energy transactions, and advisory work.
- Strong understanding of the energy sector, including renewable energy, utilities, and infrastructure.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, actionable advice to clients.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience drafting energy-related agreements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Strong academic background.
Certifications:
- Admission to the state bar, with preference for applicants licensed in Pennsylvania or seeking admission.
