We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team and provide legal advice and recommendations for our initiatives and projects. This position will have a significant impact on our organization, working on large-scale and high financial-level projects with moderate risk. As an integral member of our legal team, you will work closely with senior leaders and serve as a strategic partner and decision-maker. You will also have the opportunity to manage work independently and contribute to the overall results of our company. Key Responsibilities: - Apply legal knowledge and business acumen to provide sound recommendations for legal matters and projects. - Coordinate and manage legal projects, determining methods and procedures. - Contribute to the overall results of our company and use professional legal concepts to shape our concepts and principles. - Provide guidance and instruction to junior members of the department and timely briefings to senior level management. - Work on complex problems and assess and mitigate risk. - Serve as a resource for other attorneys and paralegals, as well as business clients. - Report identified business exposure and associated risks to management and recommend mitigation techniques. Requirements: - JD degree and current license to practice law. - Minimum of 9 years of specific industry and/or technical legal experience post-licensure. - Strong business acumen and knowledge of the healthcare industry. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Preferred Skills and Experiences: - Experience managing outside counsel. - Previous work in the commercial and individual market. - Familiarity with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA). - Experience working with Operations and managing relationships with regulatory agencies. - Familiarity with provider contracting and network adequacy. - Experience working with Executive Leadership and Government Relations.
