Key Responsibilities:

- Manage filings before Puerto Rico courts, federal courts, and administrative agencies
- Assist in discovery, document production, and fact discovery
- Craft appendices and indexes to appellate writs for Puerto Rico appellate courts
- Manage office calendar and organize filings, deadlines, hearings, and conferences
- Organize and archive documents to streamline processes
- Handle billing with precision and adherence to client expectations
- Communicate effectively with clients for information requests
- Participate in regulatory filings and demonstrate understanding of legal nuances
- Translate documents between Spanish and English and prepare summaries and indexes
- Support evidentiary hearings and trials, summarize depositions, and prepare indexes for pre-filed direct testimonies
- Make governmental filings for legal entity organization and tax grant applications
- Assist with organization of online data rooms and other tasks related to M&A transactions
- Oversee trademark and other registries
- Compile documents, process requests, and monitor petition status for immigration visa petitions
- Conduct research and respond to requests from legal professionals

Requirements:

- Minimum 1 year experience as a paralegal in a legal department or law firm
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Requirements:

- Experience in a large law firm
