Summary:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their Employment Counseling & Litigation Section within the Legal Department. This role offers the opportunity to lead or participate in complex initiatives, provide legal advice and representation for the company, manage litigation, and develop risk mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of legal experience and an active state bar membership. Responsibilities:

- Lead or participate in complex initiatives and contribute to large-scale planning
- Provide legal advice and representation for the company in highly complex litigation, negotiations, and claims related issues
- Review and analyze complex challenges and manage litigation
- Provide guidance on legal matters and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Draft and review legal documents and independently resolve issues
- Identify and analyze legal issues and develop recommendations for resolution
- Collaborate with peers and colleagues to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Educate and supervise less experienced attorneys
- Partner with business leaders and other departments to develop risk management programs

Qualifications:

- 4+ years of legal experience
- Active state bar membership or equivalent
- Ability to analyze employment law and regulatory issues
- In-house legal experience preferred
- Experience with FINRA matters and employment litigation
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a complex environment

Job Expectations:

- Up to 10% travel
- Ability to work at one of the approved job posting locations
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule, in office at least 3 days a week
