A law firm in Holmdel, NJ is seeking a Real Estate Partner with 8+ years of experience representing real estate investors and developers in commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, acquisitions, financings, leasing, and due diligence related to commercial properties. A portable, strong cash flow business is required. Bar membership in New Jersey is required, and New York experience is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent real estate investors and developers in commercial real estate transactions, including sales, acquisitions, financings, and leasing.
- Oversee due diligence for commercial real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, and other real estate contracts.
- Provide legal counsel on commercial real estate financing, including negotiating loan terms and advising on financing strategies.
- Advise clients on real estate development projects, including zoning, land use, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with clients to structure deals and develop strategic solutions to meet their business objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with real estate investors, developers, lenders, and other key stakeholders.
- Manage a portable, strong cash flow business, developing and expanding client relationships.
- Stay updated on relevant New Jersey and New York real estate laws and regulations to provide clients with accurate legal advice.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, including sales, acquisitions, financings, leasing, and due diligence.
- Bar membership in New Jersey is required.
- New York experience is a plus.
- Proven track record of working with real estate investors and developers.
- Ability to manage a portable, strong cash flow business.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate financing, zoning, and land use issues.
- Excellent client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New Jersey State Bar is required.
- Admission to the New York State Bar is a plus.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certification or coursework in real estate law or commercial transactions is beneficial but not required.
