A law firm seeks a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join its Class Action practice group. This role focuses on high-impact litigation against powerful entities, advocating for consumer protection and justice. The ideal candidate will have extensive litigation experience, a strong understanding of class certification processes, and the ability to manage complex cases from inception through resolution.

Duties

• Oversee and litigate class action cases, ensuring strategic case progression.

• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.

• Draft and argue pivotal motions, including those related to class certification, Daubert challenges, and summary judgment.

• Manage all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and coordinating expert witness engagements.

• Take and defend depositions of class representatives, expert witnesses, and other key individuals.

• Communicate effectively with clients, class members, and experts, providing updates and guidance.

• Develop and implement case strategies to navigate complex litigation effectively.

• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to ensure effective case management and successful outcomes.

• Maintain a high level of organization while managing multiple cases simultaneously.

• Adapt to evolving case dynamics and anticipate legal challenges.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in complex litigation, with a primary focus on class actions, mass torts, or large-scale legal matters.

• Proven ability to manage class action lawsuits, including experience with class certification, settlement negotiations, and interactions with class members.

• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate legal challenges and adapt case strategies accordingly.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting abilities for motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.

• Effective oral advocacy skills, including experience in court and depositions.

• Experience leading or managing legal teams.

• Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback professionally.

Education

• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with a strong academic record is preferred.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in New York and in good standing with the state bar.
