# Legal Assistant to Attorneys Law firm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join their esteemed team in their Santa Barbara office. The Legal Assistant will play a crucial role in providing legal and administrative support to attorneys, ensuring the efficient operation of the practice and the delivery of exceptional client service. ## Qualifications The ideal candidate for the Legal Assistant role should have the following qualifications: - At least 3 years prior law firm experience - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills - Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Understanding of client confidentiality and ethical standards in the legal field - Team player with a collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving - Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills ## Compensation The compensation for the Legal Assistant position is $20-$40 per hour, commensurate with level of experience. Hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with full benefits including paid off-street parking. ## Responsibilities The responsibilities of the Legal Assistant include: - Assist attorneys in drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents - Manage and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation - Communicate with clients, both in-person and over the phone, addressing inquiries and providing updates on case status - Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and recordkeeping - Assist in the preparation of documents for execution and notarization - Maintain and update the firm’s document management system with accurate and up-to-date information - Uphold client confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information - Collaborate effectively with attorneys, fellow assistants, and support staff to ensure seamless workflow - Provide administrative support as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the firm ## Application Process Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter outlining their qualifications and relevant experience to Susan Subject at .
