Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP is looking for a Corporate – Oil & Gas (HT) Associate to join their M&A team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with significant experience handling upstream and midstream M&A transactions to develop relationships with clients and manage matters with a high degree of autonomy.

Job Responsibilities:
• Advise corporate strategic and private equity clients in connection with acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures in the upstream and midstream sectors, oil and gas-related commercial contracts, carbon capture and sequestration projects, other similar transactions and general matters relating to oil and gas law
• Draft transaction documents and effectively manage deals
• Develop relationships with clients and manage matters with a high degree of autonomy

Qualifications:
• Law school class years 2018 to 2021
• Significant experience handling upstream and midstream M&A transactions
• Good understanding of oil and gas and real property law and market terms
• Experience in drafting transaction documents and effective deal management
• Driven personality and business development-oriented mindset

Compensation:
The annual compensation range for this position is between $260,000 and $390,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Benefits offered for this position include health care; retirement benefits; paid days off, including sick time, and vacation time; parental leave; basic life insurance; Flexible Spending Accounts; as well as discretionary, performance-based bonuses.
