Law Firm Seeking Employment & Labor Associate in California

Dentons US LLP, a leading global law firm, is seeking a mid-level Employment & Labor Associate to join our team in one of our California offices. This is a great opportunity for someone with 3-5 years of experience in employment law to join a collaborative team and work on a range of workforce-related issues and matters.

Responsibilities and Practice:

- Providing employment and human-resources counseling to clients on a daily basis
- Reviewing, analyzing, and drafting employment agreements, employee handbooks, and other employment documents
- Handling and managing employment litigation matters and administrative charges
- Taking and defending depositions and managing written-discovery in employment-litigation cases
- Advising on sensitive personnel issues and policy review and implementation
- Assisting with employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including reviewing employment provisions in asset and stock purchase agreements
- Formulating legal strategy in litigation matters
- Advising on California data privacy compliance matters
- Supporting the team on other matters as needed

Salary & Benefits:

- Salary range of $225,000 - $345,000 based on experience and office location
- Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and more

Requirements:

- 3-5 years of employment litigation and counseling experience
- Trial experience is a plus
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California and in good standing

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients
- Organized, efficient, and able to prioritize and manage complex assignments
- Understands the importance of excellent client service
