A law firm seeks a diligent and experienced Real Estate Attorney to join their team in Uniondale, NY. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in real estate transactions, with a focus on both lender and borrower-side matters. Duties:

  • Lead and manage complex real estate transactions, including financing and property acquisitions for both lenders and borrowers
  • Draft and review loan agreements, mortgage documents, purchase and sale agreements, and other related legal documents
  • Conduct negotiations on behalf of clients, ensuring favorable terms and outcomes
  • Provide strategic legal advice on various real estate matters, including commercial and residential transactions
  • Work closely with clients, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Coordinate with other professionals, such as real estate brokers, appraisers, and title companies, to facilitate smooth transactions
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant real estate laws and market trends
  • Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys and support staff as necessary

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on transactional work involving lending and borrower-side matters
  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex real estate agreements
  • Strong understanding of real estate financing, including loan structures and documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and address potential legal issues
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clear, concise legal writing

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission)
