Job Overview:
A prominent mid-sized law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience in estate planning and estate and trust administration. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated estate plans, family business succession plans, the administration of large estates and trusts, tax controversies, and estate and trust litigation. The role allows for collaboration with a team of experienced estate planning attorneys and provides exposure to a wide range of legal matters while maintaining a focus on client service.

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to assess their estate planning needs, understand goals, and provide legal advice.
  • Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, tailored to clients’ specific circumstances.
  • Provide guidance on minimizing tax implications, including estate and gift taxes.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, conducting legal research as needed to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals, including tax and real estate attorneys, to offer integrated services.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their estate planning matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.
  • An . in Taxation or significant coursework/experience in tax law is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • . in Taxation preferred.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.
