Overview:

The Legal Specialist Sr. at Elevance Health is a highly skilled and experienced individual responsible for providing legal support services for multiple Medicaid states, enterprise-wide functions, and complex litigation. This role requires a strong understanding of legal processes and specialized knowledge specific to the company.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and coach support staff
- Prepare and evaluate legal documentation
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Respond to subpoenas, records requests, and inquiries
- Investigate and resolve complex cases
- Monitor state and federal legislation affecting the company
- Attend legal proceedings and represent the company
- Optimize solutions and practices using business knowledge and technical expertise
- Participate in projects and negotiations
- Handle Provider Contracting for Medicaid markets

Requirements:

- Paralegal Certification or an AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of legal or related experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Skilled in the use of Excel
- Experience in Medicaid or other government programs
