Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Boston is seeking an experienced and dedicated Associate Attorney to join their Civil Litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil litigation, particularly in insurance defense, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to case management. Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation cases, particularly in insurance defense and product liability matters.
  • Manage a caseload, handling case preparation, legal research, and writing.
  • Provide sound legal advice to clients while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to strategize case development.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in legal research, case analysis, and drafting legal documents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar is required.
  • Additional Bar admissions in Connecticut, Maine, or Rhode Island are preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Massachusetts Bar license (required).
  • Additional Bar admissions (preferred).

Skills:

  • Civil litigation expertise, particularly in insurance defense.
  • Strong case management and legal research skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases (., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
