Job Overview:

Duties:

  • Take depositions and advocate motions and contested matters in court
  • Receive progressive training with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Collaborate across practice groups and office locations
  • Engage in business development activities
  • Work remotely two days per week

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in litigating bankruptcy, restructuring, or creditors’ rights
  • Strong working knowledge of Bankruptcy Code, local rules, UCC, and secured transactions
  • Significant experience in motions practice, contested matters, or adversary proceedings
  • Ability to think quickly and pivot under pressure
  • Proficiency in deposition preparation and execution
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Team player with an interest in relationship-building internally and externally
  • Cultural competency to work effectively with diverse attorneys, staff, and clients
  • Highly motivated self-starter adaptable to a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding law school credentials and references

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree
  • Admitted to practice law in Illinois
