Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a dedicated Estate Planning Attorney to join its legal team in Birmingham, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in estate planning, estate and trust administration, or related fields. This position offers an opportunity to provide legal counsel to clients in estate planning, estate and trust administration, estate/trust/probate litigation, and tax matters. The role also involves drafting legal documents, representing clients in disputes, and keeping up with evolving tax laws.

Duties:
- Provide legal advice and guidance in estate planning, estate and trust administration, estate/trust/probate litigation, and tax matters.
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex estate planning and tax issues.
- Draft and review wills, trusts, patient advocate designations, durable powers of attorney, and related documents.
- Prepare personal, corporate, and fiduciary income tax returns.
- Represent clients in estate and trust disputes, litigation matters, and tax audits.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide integrated legal and financial solutions.
- Stay updated with estate planning techniques, tax laws, and regulations to ensure accurate advice.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in estate planning, estate and trust administration, or estate/trust/probate litigation and tax law.
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Michigan State Bar.
- Strong knowledge of estate planning techniques, probate procedures, trust administration, and federal/state tax laws.
- Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in document preparation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active member of the Michigan State Bar in good standing.
