# Job Opportunity: Workers' Compensation Defense Senior Attorney
Foster Swift Collins & Smith . is looking for a full-time Senior Attorney to join their Workers’ Compensation Defense Group and work in either their Lansing or Southfield offices. This position has the potential for future shareholder opportunities, making it a great opportunity for those interested in advancing in the legal field.

## Responsibilities:
* Handle all aspects of a Workers’ Compensation case
* Analyze legal and factual issues and conduct extensive legal research
* Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure effective claim handling
* Regularly handle appearances before Workers’ Comp magistrates, conduct depositions, and trials
* Maintain prompt communication with clients and provide status reports
* Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel with professional diplomacy and discretion

## Qualifications:
* Member in good standing of the State Bar of Michigan with 8+ years of experience
* Must have Workers’ Comp experience
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Highly motivated, high energy, and results-driven
* Excellent organization skills
* Strong attention to detail, with commitment to outstanding customer service
* High level proficiency with Word, Outlook, and Excel

Newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply! Foster Swift will provide hands-on training and support to help new attorneys master the Michigan Workers’ Compensation system. This is an in-office position and some in-state travel is required.
