Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled Midlevel Associate to join its Corporate & Business Transactions team, focusing on Life Sciences. This position is ideal for an attorney with 3-5 years of experience in life sciences transactions, including the drafting and negotiation of collaboration agreements, licensing agreements, supply agreements, and product purchase and sale agreements. Candidates with in-house counsel experience within the life sciences industry are also encouraged to apply.

Location:

  • Boston, Massachusetts

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate a variety of agreements, including collaboration agreements, licensing agreements, supply agreements, NDAs, MTAs, SRAs, CTAs, MSAs, and product purchase and sale agreements.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients in the life sciences sector on business transactions and operational matters.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business goals and deliver tailored legal solutions.
  • Manage multiple matters and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Collaborate with senior partners, in-house counsel, and clients on complex transactions.
  • Support clients with regulatory compliance, intellectual property issues, and other matters relevant to life sciences transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of law firm experience in life sciences transactions, or 2+ years as in-house counsel within a life sciences company.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements, including collaboration and licensing agreements.
  • Strong knowledge of life sciences industry regulations and legal frameworks.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team-oriented environment.
  • High level of professionalism and client service skills.
  • Strong desire to grow within the life sciences practice area.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Massachusetts (or ability to obtain licensure).

Skills:

  • Expertise in life sciences transactions and commercial agreements.
  • Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and operational agreements.
  • Ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
