A law firm in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive litigation experience, including written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial experience in state and federal court. They will also have expertise in dispute resolution, negotiating severance agreements and administrative proceedings before various boards, advising clients on employment matters, conducting workplace investigations, and navigating complex employment laws.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, motion practice, pre-trial, and trial experience in state and federal court.
  • Conduct dispute resolution and negotiate severance agreements.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings before boards such as PERB, NLRB, EEOC, and DFEH.
  • Provide advice to clients on reasonable accommodation, disciplinary matters, labor relations, and other employment issues.
  • Defend lawsuits concerning discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, whistleblower cases, and other employment-related claims.
  • Participate in labor relations activities, including negotiating labor agreements and responding to grievances.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and prepare investigator reports.
  • Assist clients in navigating state and federal employment laws, collectively bargained contracts, and COVID-19 related matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in California.
  • 3-6 years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Strong litigation skills and experience in state and federal court.
  • Knowledge of California labor and employment laws and administrative proceedings.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex matters effectively.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in California.

 

Skills:

  • Extensive litigation experience, including written discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
  • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
