Temporary E-Discovery Project Attorney - (Remote): - Job title: Temporary E-Discovery Project Attorney - Location: Remote (Pittsburgh, Washington ., Philadelphia, Princeton, Chicago, Houston, Austin, Dallas) - Full/part time: Full-time - Regular/temporary: Temporary - Job ID: 506446 Law Firm Information: - Name: Reed Smith - Global relationship law firm with over 1,700 lawyers in 29 offices worldwide - Represents leading international businesses, from Fortune 100 corporations to mid-market and emerging enterprises - Provides litigation and other dispute resolution services, regulatory counsel, and strategic domestic and cross-border transactions - Preeminent advisor to industries such as financial services, life sciences, health care, advertising, entertainment and media, shipping and transport, energy and natural resources, real estate, manufacturing, technology, and education - Visit for more information Position Summary: - Temporary Project Attorneys assist the Pittsburgh-based Records & E-Discovery Team with discovery projects using various review software tools - Primary responsibilities include document reviews for responsiveness, privilege, and key issue content - At least one year of experience with specialized E-Discovery software is required - Must be actively licensed and in good standing in one of the following jurisdictions: Delaware, Illinois, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or Washington DC - Engaged on a project basis and paid at an hourly rate of $29 - Duration of employment can vary but typically lasts 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer - Expected to work a 40-hour week during regular business hours (8:00 AM - 7:00 PM) Monday through Friday - Participation in conference and Zoom/Teams calls and daily time entry is required - Must have a personal computer and secure internet connection - Remote work position expected to start in the first week of June - Outside legal work is not permitted during employment with Reed Smith - Prior large-scale document review experience preferred Essential Functions: - Efficiently and accurately review documents using review software - Timely and accurately record daily timekeeping - Work cohesively with team members in a collaborative environment - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Provide timely responses to email/phone messages - Proficient in MS suite of software including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel - Strong work ethic and commitment to providing high quality legal service to clients Requirements: - Education: Juris Doctor - Must be actively licensed and in good standing in Delaware, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, or Washington DC - Must provide information for conflict and background checks and a certificate of good standing from the Court prior to starting work (fees are candidate's responsibility) - Must maintain requirements for continuing licensure during employment - Experience: Strong academic credentials, large law firm experience, and prior electronic document review experience preferred - Skills: Experience with review support tools such as Relativity, Reveal, Everlaw, etc. preferred Other: - Supervisory Responsibilities: None - Equipment to be used: Personal computer, telephone, calculator, fax machine, copier, scanner, etc. - Typical Physical Demands: Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment - Typical Mental Demands: Able to handle stress in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities/tasks, make judgment decisions, adapt to changing work situations, grasp and apply new ideas, and communicate with various personalities at all levels - Working Conditions: Work is performed remotely.
