Law Firm Seeking Experienced Associate Attorney for Insurance Coverage Practice Group in Portland, OR

Chartwell Law, a rapidly growing civil litigation law firm, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Insurance Coverage practice group in our Portland, OR office. With a nationwide presence and a culture built on collaboration and teamwork, we offer a dynamic and rewarding work environment for motivated professionals. Responsibilities:

- Reviewing files and analyzing claims and causes of action
- Conducting extensive legal research and drafting briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
- Maintaining an annual billable amount of 1950 hours
- Representing clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions
- Responding to discovery requests and drafting discovery requests
- Collaborating with expert witnesses
- Preparing for and attending trials
- Occasional travel may be required

Requirements:

- 6+ years’ experience in insurance coverage preferred, but not required
- . degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of Oregon, other states a plus
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong research abilities and written and oral communication skills
- Ability to self-manage and work in a team environment
- Excellent client skills and telephone manner
