#Legal Assistant ##Overview A growing personal injury law firm is looking to add a dedicated and self-starting team player to join their Liens Department. The right candidate will work with a group of helpful and motivated team members to help resolve, confirm, and close cases. ##Duties and Responsibilities - Review client files to verify all outstanding bills and lien amounts - Negotiate with medical providers to obtain reductions - Resolve statutory/subrogation liens - Negotiate/waive med pay reimbursement - Calculate pro rata reductions for medical bills - Draft settlement documents - Obtain liens and negotiate with governmental entities (Medi-Cal, Medicare, Child Support, etc.) - Update the client on the progress and status changes - Perform other duties as assigned ##Requirements - Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required - At least one year experience as a personal injury legal assistant, billing, or relevant experience - Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus - Computer literate - Ability to work in a team as well as individually - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Superior time management skills - Highly organized & strong digital e-filing skills - Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills - Analytical and problem-solving skills ##Salary and Benefits The salary for a Legal Assistant at our law firm is competitive and commensurate with experience.
