This position offers the chance to work with a dynamic team and guide clients through the constantly changing regulatory landscape in areas such as data privacy, suitability standards, capital determinations, and technological advancements. As an associate in this practice, you will have the opportunity to provide insightful counsel on issues that impact how insurers are regulated, including insurance product design, distribution, and compliance. You will also have the opportunity to assist in responding to inquiries and formal investigations by state regulators.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counsel on regulatory issues impacting the insurance industry
- Assist in responding to inquiries and formal investigations by state regulators
- Conduct research and analysis on relevant legal issues
- Draft legal documents, including memoranda, pleadings, and briefs
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and other professionals

Qualifications:
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
- Strong academic credentials
- Analytical ability
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in the state where the position is located (or willingness to become admitted)
- Previous experience in insurance regulatory law is a plus

Location:
The location for this position may vary and is ultimately dependent upon the practice group for which a candidate is hired. However, the offices in which there is the highest likelihood of placement are Indianapolis, Philadelphia, and Washington .

Salary:
The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone hired into this position is $150,000 - $215,000. However, the actual initial salary may be above or below this range, and will be based on relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location of where the position is filled. This salary range is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for attorneys, which also includes productivity and discretionary bonuses, life, health, accident and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
