A law firm in Buffalo, NY, is currently seeking an Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in general practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of legal tasks and should possess the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in general legal matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.

Duties:

• Conduct client interviews to gather relevant case information.
• Analyze legal issues and provide sound legal advice to clients.
• Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and settlement conferences.
• Perform legal research using various resources, including databases and legal publications.
• Prepare and organize case materials for trial.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in general practice.
• Strong understanding of legal principles and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Education:
