Responsibilities: As a Personal Injury Legal Assistant at WGK Personal Injury Lawyers, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing workers' compensation cases. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting intake of new Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation cases - Filing documents with the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission - Completing research to obtain documentation regarding prior work, medical records, and outside injuries - Managing and maintaining case files, including organizing and indexing documents, monitoring treatment, and gathering prior work, medical, and injury history - Tracking deadlines and updating case information as necessary - Assisting attorneys in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, coordinating witness interviews, and scheduling expert witnesses Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications: - Highly professional with a strong customer service orientation, commitment to meeting deadlines, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the firm's structure - Willingness to learn new technology and adapt to firm protocols - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently - At least 1 year of experience in handling workers' compensation and auto accident cases - Ability to work in person at our Baltimore office - High school diploma required Compensation: WGK Personal Injury Lawyers offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 per year for the Personal Injury Legal Assistant position.
