The Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney role is a highly sought after position in the legal industry. With a salary range of $140k - $200k, this full-time role offers the opportunity for career growth and potential partnership within the firm. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of recent experience in civil litigation, with a preference for probate and trust litigation experience. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage a large caseload. The Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney must also be detail-oriented, possess excellent research and writing skills, and have experience in court appearances and drafting legal documents. Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney Responsibilities: • Review and draft legal documents, including pleadings and discovery. • Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and trials. • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court staff. • Develop strategies and tactics for litigation in collaboration with others. • Maintain high standards for professionalism, ethics, and work quality. • Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw. • Meet or exceed billable hours requirement. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Manage own caseload and meet deadlines. Requirements: • Active member of the California State Bar. • Experience with LexisNexis or Westlaw and law firm client management software preferred. • Proficiency in California Rules of Court and local rules. • Knowledge of the California probate and trust administration process preferred, but not required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. • Strong client management skills from intake through resolution. • Positive attitude, intellectually curious, dependable, and motivated. • Proficient in MS Office Suite with an emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Excellent command of English, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style. • Organized and detail-oriented. • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with a team and individually. • Ability to set goals and mentor others.
