A law firm in Dallas is seeking a Health Care Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join its Trial Practice Group. The ideal candidate should possess a strong healthcare background, including expertise in disputes with providers, claims of breach of contract, fraud, RICO, violations of consumer protection statutes, reimbursement principles (both commercial and governmental), managed care agreements, and knowledge of provider licensure, coding, and billing principles. Experience or a working knowledge in ERISA litigation is considered a plus. The candidate must demonstrate a strong interest and experience in practicing health law and possess self-starter credentials with superior writing, communication, and client relations skills.

 

Duties:

  • Handle healthcare litigation matters, including disputes with providers.
  • Address claims of breach of contract, fraud, RICO, and violations of consumer protection statutes.
  • Navigate reimbursement principles, both commercial and governmental.
  • Manage disputes related to managed care agreements.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of provider licensure, including mid-level licensing.
  • Apply expertise in coding and billing principles.
  • Utilize a working knowledge or background in ERISA litigation when applicable.
  • Engage in effective client communication and relationship management.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of healthcare litigation experience.
  • Strong healthcare background with expertise in various healthcare disputes.
  • TX Bar admission required.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

TX Bar admission.

 

Skills:

  • Demonstrated interest and experience in practicing health law.
  • Superior writing and communication skills.
  • Client relations skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
