A law firm in Garland, TX is looking to hire an enthusiastic and dedicated Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. This position is ideal for attorneys with at least one year of experience handling pre-suit personal injury cases and a passion for advocating for justice. Duties:

• Client Interaction: Engage with clients to thoroughly understand the nature and extent of their injuries and legal needs.
• Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, premises liability, and wrongful death claims.
• Litigation Support: Negotiate with insurance companies, and opposing counsel, and represent clients in court when necessary.
• Legal Documentation: Draft and respond to discovery requests, prepare motions, and support legal arguments with strong written submissions.
• Expert Collaboration: Work closely with medical professionals and other experts to draft reports, assist with depositions, and prepare for trials.
• Case Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to move cases forward, ensuring the best possible outcome for clients.

Requirements:

• Experience: 1+ years of experience in personal injury law, including pre-suit and litigation. Entry-level candidates with a strong passion for personal injury law are also welcome to apply.

• State Bar: Must be licensed to practice law in Texas and be in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

• Skills:

  • Strong writing skills and the ability to perform thorough legal research.
  • Familiarity with the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
  • Ability to negotiate with opposing counsel and handle client interactions with professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage a high volume of cases effectively.

• Preferred:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in drafting and responding to motions, as well as managing litigation timelines.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership and good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Proven ability to negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
