Location:

Duties:

  • Handle family law cases from start to finish, including custody, visitation, support, protective orders, divorce, domestic violence, and paternity matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case development.
  • Draft and review legal documents, ensuring strong organization, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, and hearings, gaining courtroom experience.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, outside attorneys, senior management, and staff, demonstrating professionalism and integrity.
  • Track and manage billable hours and case-related activities.
  • Offer legal counsel to clients, providing clarity and compassion regarding technical matters.

Requirements:

  • Family law experience required.
  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • CFLS (Certified Family Law Specialist) certification or eligibility is a plus.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • High level of personal integrity and professional ethics.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • CFLS certification or eligibility is preferred.

Skills:

  • Experience in family law, including litigation and case management.
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents and preparing for court proceedings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
