Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and in-house counsel to address IP-related issues throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct freedom to operate and IP due diligence searches and analyses in support of licensing, acquisitions, and research and development activities for small- and large-molecule products.
  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications and actively contribute to building robust patent portfolios for pipeline products and platform technologies.
  • Liaise with clients, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and foreign associates regarding domestic and foreign patent application processes and strategies.
  • Engage in professional growth and training opportunities with increasing levels of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Must be a registered patent attorney.
  • Hold an advanced degree in biological sciences (.) in areas such as molecular or cell biology, microbiology, immunology, genetics, organic chemistry, or biochemistry.
  • Possess 3-8 years of patent experience in the life sciences field.
  • Demonstrate superior academic qualifications and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
