Eckberg Lammers, PC, a reputable law firm, is currently seeking an experienced Civil Municipal Attorney to join their team. This role involves providing legal counsel and guidance to Minnesota communities on a variety of matters, including ethics, personnel, ordinances, contracts, land use, taxes, and finance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in municipal representation and a strong understanding of local, state, and federal laws.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice and guidance to city leaders on various municipal matters
- Stay updated on changes to laws that may impact municipalities
- Draft city ordinances and contracts
- Review contracts and memoranda to protect the city's legal interests
- Attend city council and staff meetings as needed
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
- Facilitate real estate development and draft related documents
- Handle litigation on behalf of a city, including advocating in court

Qualifications:

- Must be admitted to practice law in Minnesota and in good standing
- 3-5 years of experience in municipal representation preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Confident and emotionally resilient
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable working in person or in a hybrid environment
