Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Restructuring Associate to join our Business Restructuring Department at our law firm in New York. As an Associate in this role, you will have the opportunity to work on complex corporate restructuring transactions and provide support to our clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

- Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings related to business restructuring matters
- Conduct legal analyses to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Draft legal documents such as chapter 11 filings, term sheets, and disclosure statements
- Maintain effective communication with clients, creditors, and other stakeholders
- Stay updated on legal developments and regulations related to business restructuring

Skills/Abilities

- 3-4 years of proven experience in business restructuring law
- Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws, creditor rights, and restructuring strategies
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to practice in New York

Compensation

The anticipated pay range for this position is $260,000 - $310,000, with the potential for a discretionary bonus. We are committed to pay transparency and value diversity in our workplace.
