A law firm based in New York City is looking for a dedicated and experienced Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors' Rights Associate Attorney to join their growing practice. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 4 years of relevant experience and possess strong academic qualifications excellent writing, and analytical skills. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of bankruptcy and restructuring matters, with support from various practice groups within the firm.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with attorneys in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and creditors' Rights practice group to provide legal support on related matters.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze case law, and prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and motions.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to bankruptcy and creditors' rights.
  • Participate in case strategy meetings and contribute to case development and planning.
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Attend court proceedings and hearings as required.
  • Stay updated on developments in bankruptcy and restructuring laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors' rights.
  • Exceptional academic records, including a law degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is beneficial.
  • Active Bar membership in one or more of Delaware, New Jersey, or New York.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in one or more of Delaware, New Jersey, or New York.
