Paralegal - Executive Assistant to Supervising Attorney - Los Angeles/San Diego, CA

Law Firm is currently seeking a proactive and fast-learning Executive Assistant Paralegal to join our team in either Los Angeles or San Diego, CA. As a key member of our team, you will support our supervising attorney with their caseload and assist with various tasks to ensure the success of our cases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Support supervising attorney's caseload by reviewing files and discussing case facts prior to preparing complaints
- Order all necessary records and bills for cases
- Possess a strong understanding of state and federal court rules, procedures, and deadlines
- Efficiently manage attorney's calendar
- Draft basic pleadings, including Judicial Council forms
- Prepare discovery requests and responses
- Work effectively in a team environment with supervising attorney
- Regularly communicate with clients via email and phone, providing timely updates and overseeing document gathering process
- Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills with clients and supervising attorney
- Assist with trial preparations as needed

Qualifications:

- Full-time position with a competitive salary based on experience
- Proactive attitude, fast-learner, and positive mindset required
- Ability to work independently
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- Spanish-speaking skills preferred, but not required
