Job Summary: Husch Blackwell LLP, a leading full-service litigation and business law firm, is seeking a Director of Docketing Services to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and innovate in docketing services for the firm's IP and Litigation practice specialty centers. The Director will provide thought leadership and development for this crucial function, working closely with firm leadership and practice specialty center leaders. This position may be filled remotely or in any of Husch Blackwell's multiple locations across the United States. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the firm's docketing teams for the IP and Litigation practice specialty centers. Develop and oversee high-quality policies, procedures, and teams related to docketing services. Serve as a resource and subject matter expert to firm leadership and attorneys. Identify and analyze docketing technologies, trends, and best practices and implement them at the firm. Build relationships with attorneys and ensure compliance with internal docketing procedures. Audit docket entries for accuracy and maintain docketing databases and systems. Proactively address docketing concerns and lead and develop a cohesive team of docketing professionals. Develop and implement training programs and protocols. Ensure consistent application of firm policy and risk management guidelines. Participate in professional organizations and stay updated on rule changes and procedures. Oversee departmental budgets and performance reviews for docketing teams. Lead hiring, firing, promotions, and creation/elimination of positions within the docketing teams. Work on ad hoc projects as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Minimum of 10 years of legal docketing experience within a law firm. Extensive experience in a supervisory role. Demonstrated subject matter expertise in docketing rules, practices, and procedures. Proficiency with docket databases, preferably CompuLaw and Pattsy. Strong communication and presentation skills. Intellectual curiosity and commitment to innovation. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. Non-hierarchical approach and ability to build consensus. Strong integrity, maturity, and fairness in dealing with people and confidential information. Strong influencing capabilities and sound judgment. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary ranging from $132,000 - $289,000 based on experience and location. Discretionary bonus opportunities based on individual and firm performance.
