A law firm in Miami, FL is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Managed Care Litigation Associate Attorney. This role requires 2-3 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with a strong focus on managed care or health care. The successful candidate will have exceptional academic credentials and possess strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills. The attorney will handle multiple cases, manage regulatory and compliance matters, and act as the primary contact for litigation and client counseling.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Manage and litigate cases related to managed care and health care issues, ensuring thorough preparation and representation.
  • Client Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing legal advice, coordinating case activities, and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee and handle regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring all actions adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Legal Research and Documentation: Conduct comprehensive legal research, draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Litigation Strategy: Develop and execute effective litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Representation: Represent clients in court, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with other associates and staff to manage cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Legal Updates: Stay informed about changes in managed care and health care regulations to provide up-to-date legal counsel.

Requirements

  • Education: Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Certification: Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in law firm or relevant in-house settings, focusing on complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
  • Specialization: Managed care or health care experience is required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple cases and manage regulatory or compliance matters.
    • Proven client counseling and case management capabilities.
