Eckert Seamans, a full-service national law firm with over 65 years of history, is seeking a Legal Assistant for our White Plains, NY office. Join our team and work with a network of 300 lawyers across 15 offices to provide proactive and solution-oriented counsel to our clients. H1: Experienced Legal Assistant Opportunity at Eckert Seamans Law Firm in White Plains, NY H2: About Eckert Seamans Law Firm Responsibilities: - Prepare legal documents such as letters, correspondence, briefs, and pleadings - Submit clerical and administrative forms - Coordinate conference calls and other interpersonal communication - Assist with document jobs and office services - Monitor deadlines and calendars for attorneys - Maintain client files - Copy and scan documents - Open and close client matters - Provide general assistance to the legal support team Skills and Abilities: - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to prioritize and multitask - Maintain confidentiality - Thrive in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures - Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe - Experience with document management systems and electronic court filing preferred Education and Experience: - High school degree or equivalent required, college degree preferred - Minimum two years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in a law firm environment Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer - Ability to stand, walk, carry, push, pull, reach, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, grasp, and kneel Salary Information: - Salary range for this position is $60, to $75, - Actual offer will be based on various factors including scope of position, relevant skills and experience, and education Travel Expectation: - None Eckert Seamans is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in our workforce.
