H2: Job Description

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level/Senior Associate attorney with 5-7 years of experience in IP Tech Transactions to join our team. This position can be based in our California (Bay Area strongly preferred), Chicago, or New York office. In this role, you will advise clients on the intellectual property, artificial intelligence, data, and technology aspects of various corporate and transactional matters.

H2: Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must have top academic credentials, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication and writing skills. We are looking for individuals who can thrive in a global team environment, work well with in-house counsel, and have the ability to train and supervise Junior Associates. Candidates must also be admitted to and in good standing with a . State Bar.

H2: Salary Information

The annual base compensation for this position is $260,000 - $435,000 for candidates located in California or New York.

H2: Job Functions

As an IP Tech Transactions Associate at Baker McKenzie, your primary job functions will include:

- Advising clients on intellectual property, artificial intelligence, data, and technology matters in corporate and transactional contexts
- Handling IP-heavy mergers and acquisitions
- Assisting with IP migrations and reorganizations
- Negotiating trademark, patent, and technology licenses
- Drafting software license and development agreements
- Collaborating with other attorneys on joint development and R&D agreements
- Advising on media-related agreements
- Negotiating service provider agreements, including cloud and AI agreements
- Handling AI, telecommunications, supply chain, and outsourcing agreements involving data, intellectual property, and technology
