A law firm in Dallas is seeking a Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Data Innovation Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of substantive experience at a leading law firm and strong academic credentials. The ideal candidate should have strong privacy, cybersecurity, and/or technology company experience, including regulatory, compliance counseling, government investigations, and litigation matters. Experience with Federal Trade Commission consumer protection-related regulatory matters is desirable. Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counseling on privacy, cybersecurity, and technology-related matters.
  • Assist clients with regulatory compliance, including GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection laws and regulations.
  • Handle government investigations and related litigation matters.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, agreements, and policies related to privacy and cybersecurity.
  • Stay current on developments in privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and implement privacy and cybersecurity strategies.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of substantive experience at a leading law firm.
  • Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Experience in privacy, cybersecurity, and/or technology company matters.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, government investigations, and related litigation.
  • Familiarity with Federal Trade Commission consumer protection-related regulatory matters is desirable.
  • Admission to the State Bar in the jurisdiction of practice.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from a reputable law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in the jurisdiction of practice.

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of privacy, cybersecurity, and technology law.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
