Duties:

  • Client Intake & First Meeting:

    • Build trust and demonstrate compassion with clients.
    • Document critical details related to liability, damages, and insurance coverage.
    • Develop an action plan with clients and the office to position the success case.
  • Investigation:

    • Oversee investigations to gather evidence essential for trial preparation.
    • Assess insurance coverage and gather relevant evidence to strengthen cases.
  • Negotiation:

    • Prepare cases for trial while evaluating Full Settlement Value.
    • Maintain relationships with insurance adjusters, negotiating effectively and strategically.
    • Initiate lawsuits when necessary and guide clients through the litigation process.
  • Litigation:

    • Prepare legal pleadings and discovery documents for lawsuits.
    • Develop strategies and execute trial preparations, mediation, or arbitration.
  • General Responsibilities:

    • Review and approve correspondence drafted by team members promptly.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cases progress efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Ability to handle a high caseload while maintaining a high standard of client service.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and litigation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and empathy for clients.
