Summary:

Godfrey & Kahn, a leading law firm with a focus on client success and a culture of teamwork, is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Associate Attorney for our Milwaukee or Madison office. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering or science and be eligible to sit for the patent bar. Our IP team handles a variety of legal matters related to intellectual property, including litigation, trademark and patent applications, corporate transactions, and technology agreements. We are looking for a motivated and positive individual to join our high-performing team and make a significant impact on our clients' business objectives.

Responsibilities:

- Assist clients in identifying and protecting their intellectual property rights
- Develop strategies for obtaining, protecting, and commercializing intellectual property
- Coordinate with other attorneys and technical resources within the firm for litigation matters
- Draft and negotiate technology agreements
- Support corporate transactions with intellectual property considerations

Qualifications:

- Two to seven years of experience in intellectual property law
- Degree in engineering or science, or eligibility to sit for the patent bar
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Previous leadership experience preferred
