Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Philadelphia is looking to hire a skilled and motivated litigation associate attorney with 3-8 years of experience. The role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex legal matters while receiving guidance from experienced partners. The firm provides a supportive environment where attorneys collaborate closely on cases, gaining valuable hands-on experience in litigation, from legal research to trial preparation.

Duties:

  • Perform legal research and writing for litigation matters
  • Assist in discovery processes and motion practice
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Contribute to trial preparation
  • Participate in jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations, with opportunities to lead when ready
  • Work alongside partners and associates on significant and challenging cases
  • Support and collaborate with a dynamic legal team
  • Manage case files and ensure deadlines are met efficiently

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience in litigation
  • Prior experience in construction defect litigation (preferred)
  • Familiarity with the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas (preferred)
  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, in good standing
  • Prior experience at a law firm is preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle a diverse caseload and work effectively under pressure

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in Pennsylvania

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in case management and legal software
