or remote H1: Join the Team as a Public Law Assistant/Paralegal H2: Responsibilities and Qualifications for Public Law Assistant/Paralegal Position Law Firm Seeking Public Law Assistant/Paralegal with Strong Organizational and Administrative Skills Job Title: Public Law Assistant/Paralegal Department: Public Finance Experience: At least 3-5 years in a law firm as a paralegal Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year Location: In person or remote The law firm is seeking a highly qualified Public Law Assistant/Paralegal to join their team. This position will involve working closely with multiple attorneys on various public finance matters, providing support and assistance in drafting and organizing legal documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law firm experience, a BA/BS degree, and a Paralegal Certification. Responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to drafting and reviewing routine legal documents, managing databases, and assisting with the preparation of proposals. The Public Law Assistant/Paralegal will also be responsible for drafting closing documents, managing communication with clients and outside entities, and conducting final page-checking of documents. They will also assist in closings by preparing and assembling closing files and distributing closing transcripts to interested parties. In addition to public finance work, the Public Law Assistant/Paralegal will also be involved in corporate work, creating and maintaining corporate documents for financing corporations, and filing annual tax returns. They will also perform general legal assistant duties, such as revising and proofreading documents, converting documents to different formats, and making travel arrangements for attorneys. To qualify for this position, candidates must have at least 3-5 years of law firm experience as a paralegal, with a strong desire to work in a team environment without supervision. They must also possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required, and the ability to learn additional programs and processes is preferred. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 per year. The law firm is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers the option of working in person or remotely. The physical demands of this position include the ability to lift up to 10 pounds and stand at a photocopy machine for up to 1-2 hours per week.
