A law firm in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Labor and Employment Partner to provide exceptional representation to clients in all aspects of corporate labor and employment legal matters, including litigation, trial work, resolving governmental and workplace investigations, and offering innovative and practical solutions to client challenges. The Partner will defend and litigate a wide range of employment-related claims, represent employers in various legal proceedings, counsel clients on employment issues, and draft legal documents. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of labor and employment experience, strong analytical skills, and a Pennsylvania law license in good standing.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive representation to clients in corporate labor and employment legal matters.
  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
  • Advise and counsel clients on legal issues arising from the employer-employee relationship.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, contracts, company policies, and employee handbooks.
  • Demonstrate excellent written communication and drafting skills.
  • Apply strong analytical skills and strategic thinking to legal matters.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of labor and employment experience.
  • Extensive experience in labor relations and employment litigation.
  • Proven experience with administrative practice before local, state, and federal agencies, and/or advice and counseling.
  • Experience in traditional labor matters, including labor arbitrations, negotiations, and unfair labor practice charges, as well as transactional matters involving labor and employment issues, is a plus.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and be in good standing.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Pennsylvania law license in good standing.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in labor and employment law, including litigation and counseling.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Leadership and partnership skills to guide legal teams and clients.
