The candidate will assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs. Maintain and organize legal files and records, manage litigation, and maintain calendars. Will schedule and coordinate meetings and court appearances. Conduct legal research and analysis. Communicate with clients and other parties involved in legal proceedings. Perform other duties as assigned. Should preferably have Paralegal certification. Legal terminology and procedures are a plus. Preparation and formatting of legal pleadings and Judicial Council forms which include citations to authority, is desired. Should preferably have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Electronic Filing Programs, and Legal Research Databases is preferred. Ability to work independently and in a team environment is a plus. Working knowledge of court filing requirements is helpful. Should preferably be familiar with scheduling, organizing, administering, and running ZOOM meetings, including break-out rooms. Should have Either A: 2 years of clerical experience in a legal office, court, or criminal justice system. Or B: 1 year of experience equivalent to an Administrative Assistant III.
