A law firm in New York City is seeking a proactive and self-driven Medicare/Medicaid Fraud Attorney to handle complex cases involving Medicare and Medicaid fraud, as well as False Claims Act (FCA) claims. The ideal candidate will be creative, possess excellent writing, research, and analytical skills, and have proficiency in pleading, motion, and discovery practice.

Duties:

  • Manage and litigate Medicare and Medicaid fraud cases, including investigating and analyzing allegations of fraud.
  • Handle False Claims Act (FCA) claims related to Medicare and Medicaid programs.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
  • Develop and implement case strategies, including preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and stakeholders to build strong cases and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Advise clients on compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations and address any issues of non-compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in Medicare, Medicaid, and FCA regulations and case law.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings and federal court, as required.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience handling Medicare/Medicaid fraud and/or False Claims Act (FCA) claims.
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility to become admitted promptly.
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting and arguing pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively to solve complex legal issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility to become admitted promptly.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in pleading, motion, and discovery practice.
