Senior Associate Attorney
The candidate will be managing case progress including various team meeting and report directly to the Managing Attorney. Generating and monitoring the pipeline report and overall caseload management for regular Managing Attorney meetings. Monitoring and reporting on the case management process, production costs and staffing requirements. Conducting quarterly reviews of legal team assessing substantive legal work, compliance with policies and procedures, KPIs and professional development goals. Reviewing and respond to correspondence from clients and opposing counsel. Advising clients on their legal options in determining course of litigation and/or settlement. Completing strategy meeting with client at inception of representation by the firm. Preparing clients for hearings and depositions. Preparing case strategy and case strategy team oversight while giving direction on all complex cases, including cases set for long cause hearings. Representing clients in litigation at various hearings, including Short Cause; Long Cause/Evidentiary Hearings; Domestic Violence Restraining Orders; Mandatory Settlement Conference; Sit first chair in Trials, as needed. Must have graduated from an ABA or California accredited law school and be admitted to the State Bar of California. Must not have any discipline record with any State Bar. Must have no less than 6 years of California family law experience. Must have prior experience as first-chair in no less 5 long cause hearings. Must have prior experience as first-chair in no less than 10 domestic violence restraining order hearings. Must have experience in complex cases including both business evaluations and child custody evaluations. Will be required to communicate with other team members, clients and the courts via zoom or video conferences. Must be competent and proficient in the use of Word, Outlook, and X-Spouse at a minimum. Must be able to navigate the web like Magellan. must be able to handle working with several different databases of information. Familiarity with legal case management software and CRM programs is a plus.
