Job Overview:

A leading law firm is seeking a talented Estate Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Trust and Estates Department. This department handles various aspects of estate planning, administration, and litigation. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting with estate litigation cases and have the opportunity to expand their skill set in estate planning.

Duties:

• Represent clients in estate litigation matters, including Surrogate’s Court proceedings.
• Assist in estate planning and administration tasks.
• Handle client communications and manage relationships with court staff, adversaries, and witnesses.
• Work closely with other attorneys and departments within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive and team-oriented environment.
• Opportunity to build and expand a personal book of business within the firm's platform.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in New York State.
• 3-5 years of experience in estate planning, administration, or estate litigation.
• Familiarity with Surrogate’s Court procedures.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of New York.

Skills:

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Ability to work well with clients, adversaries, court staff, and witnesses.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
