Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structured Finance Of Counsel to join its finance group within the structured finance subgroup. The successful candidate will bring significant experience in structured finance, securitization, and CLO matters, with a proven track record of handling complex transactions. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team while contributing to the firm's continued growth and success.

Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Duties:

  • Advise clients on structured finance, securitization, and CLO transactions
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex financial agreements and related documentation
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and successful outcomes
  • Conduct legal research and provide guidance on regulatory issues and market trends
  • Work collaboratively with senior partners and other team members on transactions
  • Participate in business development efforts, including networking and client outreach
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, providing guidance and professional development
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of legal services, meeting client deadlines and expectations
  • Stay current on industry developments, continuously improving technical knowledge

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in structured finance, securitization, and CLO matters
  • Experience at a reputable law firm, ideally an AmLaw 100 firm
  • Strong ability to handle complex transactions and provide strategic legal counsel
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice in the jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Business acumen and a strategic approach to client relationships
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
